Hi Charlie. I am starting a trip around the world queen quilt this week. It is my third quilt. Still a beginner. Would like to have it machine quilted when I’m finished. Can you do that? How far should I go before I need to contact you? Thanks for your help
Donna
Hi Donna,
I’d love to quilt your trip around the world – one of my favorites. Not sure of your time requirements but I’m booked into late October at the moment.
You can complete the top, the backing needs to be a minimum of 8″ wider all the way around – if the top is 100″ x 100″, the back needs to be 108″ x 108″. Batting for wool 6″ bigger all other materials 4″ bigger.
I have some wide backings and a variety of batting options in stock or you can supply your own.
Thanks so much for your reply. I have a way to go and not in a hurry. Is Wendy your mom? I have a boatload of leftover material that I should probably give you. I know what you mean about textiles. There is just something special about fabric and paper. Call me crazy. I’ll be in touch. Thanks again
Donna
Hi Donna,
Wendy is actually my Aunt. She, my Mom and I do all kinds of quilting things together, sometimes we drag my Grandmother along too – it’s great fun! Look forward to hearing from you!
Charlie,
I’m the vendor chair for the Eastern Long Island Quilter Guild 2016 Quiltshow, June 10-12 2016. RiverHead, NY. We would like you to participate . Can I send you a contract?
Hi Roberta,
Just wrapping up at Road to CA, would love to take part just give me a few days to make sure the date works for my boyfriend/dog sitter. I’m not sure how quickly I’ll get home with all the cancelled flights.
Thanks for the invite,
Charlie
